A very funny Conservative blog, with a dash of serious, Democrat=Socialist is a blog that pokes fun at the left. You’ll find some of my writing there, but luckily for you most of it is humor by the blog author. I don’t write much, he writes a lot, you’ll like it there.
As a qualifier to this subject, I would like to note that I object to the term “Christian Zionist”, or “Zionist” in general. There are actual cases where it would be appropriate to apply these labels, but anti-semites are anxious to apply it to all who are Christian and diverge from their belief that Israel should not exist. The correct term belongs to those who support Israel mainly because they believe Jesus Christ will reign with his people in a place referred to in the Bible as Zion.
This is not the main reason I support Israel, or the Jews. This is not even one of my reasons, it would be a silly reason because as it’s forecasted in the Bible this Zion of the future is inevitable, and it’s entirely different from what Israel is now. Israel now is simply a progressive, Democratic government, composed primarily of Jews. It is indeed the most progressive government in the Middle East, the most Democratic, and is a great friend and ally of the United States.
So I am a Christian Zionist, and I am not. I am a friend of Democracy, of peace, of the Jews, of their homeland, and of the progression of all these things.
I recently finished watching Schindler’s List, and it pains me to know that the same sort of brutal people who existed at this time still exist. This is a reminder that we need to remain vigilant, as friends of Israel and of the Jews, to work against these people, to counteract this sort of mindset at every opportunity. Need we be reminded that the Nazis were a group of people so power hungry, so brutal, that their violence didn’t just extend to the Jews but resulted in their desire to conquer the entire world? But beyond that, it is our duty as one who enjoys the moral clarity to see that what is done to one affects us all to stand up for the oppressed, for the downtrodden, for those who are the target of unwarranted bigotry, prejudice, and hatred. I am a Christian, and I believe in these ideals, so I am a Christian Zionist. The label is inaccurate, but for want of a better one, I will wear it proudly.
When it comes to education on these matters, I am dwarfed by many who oppose me. And this is simply because they make it part of their day to day lives to seek knowledge which reinforces their hatred and feeds the indefensible position which they hold. I am not one who debates regularly with them, I have been engaging in more of these debates recently, but my education lies in my heart, and words are born from the same. When you allow yourself to adopt a position of irrational bitterness against a large group of people you lose part of your soul and replace it with blackness. As a Christian, my position on this is bolstered by my belief that God has created all of us equal, and all races remain equally vulnerable to internal mental deficiencies, which means all races will have their bad apples. To believe one has more than another is to turn against God. It is not a race we should labor against, it is ideologies, mindsets, irrational prejudices and irrational intolerances.
I am one who will labor harder than most people against the hatred people hold for the Jews and for Israel. I don’t know why or how it has come to be, but I feel a special relationship to both of these, and a special need to stand up and defend both of them. I feel as though the Jews are my brothers and sisters, I feel as though they deserve their own land, and they have it, despite the opposition from without and within. Sometimes my education may fail me in these issues, but where that fails me, my heart will take over.
To be a Christian Zionist is to remember what happens when good people do nothing, and what happens when good people stand in the gap and fight for those who are being unjustly fought against. In these things I am a Christian Zionist, and proud to be one.

This was a great debate. It wasn’t a barn burner, it wasn’t as antagonistic as McCain V Obama, but it was very interesting, and very enlightening.
The biased interviews she had taken part in produced misrepresentations about Governor Palin and minimized her abilities to lead and her knowledge, through questions which pressed her unnecessarily, and through convenient editing by the networks.
Palin did very well. She did what McCain did not do in his debate, she addressed the camera directly, and she addressed Biden directly. She showed not only knowledge, but understanding of what she’s talking about.
There were a few things I took issue with concerning her responses. Biden laid the door wide open for Palin when he addressed the needs for clean coal in China. Palin didn’t take the gaping opportunity presented to her to point out his remarks to an environmentalist in a crowd when he thought nobody was watching. She failed to point out that he said no coal production in America, let them build plants in China. Big issue to pass on.
Edit on the previous: It has since been pointed out to me that she DID call Biden out on his coal statements. It was an issue I was paying close attention to, and did not see. However, I am waiting for video or transcripts to show me wrong, and if those surface I will admit I was wrong (and gladly so).
Edit 2: It has been pointed out her exact comments in reference to Biden’s remarks on coal, the transcript being available here: http://elections.nytimes.com/2008/president/debates/transcripts/vice-presidential-debate.html
The exact quotes were:
PALIN: “I was surprised to hear you mention that because you had said that there isn’t anything — such a thing as clean coal. And I think you said it in a rope line, too, at one of your rallies.”
BIDEN: “A comment made in a rope line was taken out of context. I was talking about exporting that technology to China so when they burn their dirty coal, it won’t be as dirty, it will be clean.”
Her statement I still believe was soft considering how much stronger his words were concerning his opposition to coal plants in America. But, she did bring it up, and that’s a very good thing.
Biden was overladen with facts about McCain’s voting history (and knowing Biden, we can question his facts offhand). Palin failed to address these remarks, which is understandable on one hand because when people throw out lies out of the blue it’s near impossible to refute unless you have readily prepared knowledge that the lies are going to be made. Palin glossed over many questions, instead addressing other issues.
But, this battle goes to Palin. Her job was simply to show she’s not the bumbling unprepared politician the MSM had made her out to be. She exonerated herself, she showed herself to be very capable, she showed that she can speak out of wisdom rather then simply knowledge. She addressed the American people, and she had very relevant criticisms about Biden’s position before he was picked and his turn around since.
Palin was affable, and it was easy to relate to her. She reinforced her post convention status as being very likeable, and very underestimated.
Knowing all of these things, I believe Palin has provided a great boost to her ticket after tonight.

We need to sign, seal and deliver Obama with the current economic mess and let people know how his efforts and the dems were to prevent changes especially in being sure to NOT leave ACORN out and explain ACORN and how corrupt it is.http://www.justsaynodeal.com/acorn.html
We need to tell people that by his own surrogates’ admission (John Kerry is one), he was on the phone every day, sometimes twice a day with Sec. of Treasury Paulson. What did Obama accomplish? NOTHING.
McCain helped make the breaktrough to a bill that is more fair and reasonable. NOT Obama.
Secondly, Biden has made many foreign policy mistakes and gaffes.
Biden: Surge not a good idea
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16456248/
MR. RUSSERT: Senator Biden, let me start with you. If President Bush calls for more American troops to Iraq, the so-called surge, Joe Biden will say…
SEN. BIDEN: No. But there’s not much I can do about it. Not much anybody can do about it. He’s commander in chief. If he surges another 20, 30, or whatever number he’s going to, into Baghdad, it’ll be a tragic mistake, in my view, but, as a practical matter, there’s no way to say, “Mr. President, stop.”
Between him and Obama we’d be losing in Iraq and bring our troops home under those condidtions.
Biden admits errors and faulty memory:
“Mr. Biden, whose Presidential campaign has been shaken by news reports about his unattributed use of speeches from other politicians and a plagiarism incident while he was in law school, said in The Times interview that he was ”frustrated” and ”angry as hell” over the reports.”
http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpag…gewanted=print
Obama made a speech against going into Iraq he says when it wasn’t politically popular to do so AND he was not in the US Senate yet.
Lie: He made it to a group of very, very liberal democrats in IL when it WAS very popular to do so…organized by Chicagoans Against War in Iraq at noon in Federal Plaza in Chicago, Illinois;
Uh, unpopular to speak out against the war to Chicagoans Against War in Iraq? I don’t thinks so.
He also lied in his Iraq speech in 2002:
“My grandfather signed up for a war the day after Pearl Harbor was bombed, fought in Patton’s army. He saw the dead and dying across the fields of Europe; he heard the stories of fellow troops who first entered Auschwitz and Treblinka. He fought in the name of a larger freedom, part of that arsenal of democracy that triumphed over evil, and he did not fight in vain.”
http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Barack…;s_Iraq_Speech
Regarding all the rubbish about Sarah Palin not having enough experience:
She is NOT running for president and she will learn a LOT as VP. She also DOES have more exec. experience than Biden or Obama so that should NOT be an issue.
“The fact that she doesn’t know the ways of Washington may be the best of all,” Hutchison said in an interview aired by CNN — calling Palin an “outside the Beltway” candidate (and that’s an understatement) “in her favor.”
http://www.swamppolitics.com/news/politics/blog/
On the other hand Biden is an old, washed up (only 9,900 votes in the primaries), Washington insider–the OPPOSITE of what Obama said he wanted and was going to change in Washington. The only thing he HAS changed and WILL is his mind constantly. The voters in the primaries didn’t want him for a Presidential nominee so why would they want him for one now? (VP succeeds the President usually).
Please keep this bumped up and copy and paste it if you like wherever you like and/or add things to it.
I can see a clear path to the end of America. This blog’s purpose is to scare liberals; this article’s purpose is to scare everyone.
Much of what follows will be dismissed by some as conspiracy lunacy. I hope most will not be so quick to dismiss. I hope most will be able to connect A, the present, to B, a very real and very frightening possibility.
The stage is set for a fascistic, all encompassing dictatorship. To begin this treatise, if ACORN receives the possible billions in government subsidies, it will create a gigantic entity who’s purpose is to get extreme liberal, Socialistic politicians elected, through any means necessary including fraud, bullying, and scare tactics. This government provided funding will finance voter fraud, and populate our government with those who have no tolerance for dissent and who openly push Marxist agendas.
This is the first element in the downfall of America. For those who doubt this, consider ACORN’s agenda, the way it’s conducted it’s agenda, and then consider ACORN with a few extra billion dollars to finance this agenda.
Next, if Barack Obama is elected along with a super majority of the house and senate, the Democrats will have filibuster proof legislatures and the power to pass, amend, or repeal any law or bill whenever they want, however they want. I use the all inclusive term “Democrats” even though many aren’t this radical because the party has shown it can and will punish with severe measure any Democrat who does not fall in line with their stated goal.
With the Democrats in power and with ACORN rigging elections to ensure their specific Democrats keep power, this country will be hijacked by the left and will not have the power to gain control back.
Add to this the Fairness Doctrine (http://www.heritage.org/Research/Regulation/EM368.cfm), which effectively states that all radio stations will be required to balance out all politically slanted programs with an opposite view. The wording includes all radio programs, whether they have a liberal or conservative bias. This is something with wide support among liberal legislators, as it would force radio stations to discontinue politically biased programs completely. Because many radio stations are unable to gain the amount of listeners necessary for liberal radio hosts, it would have to discontinue programs such as Sean Hannity’s, Rush Limbaugh’s, Bill O’Reilly’s, and others. Americans are simply not interested in syndicated liberal radio. Air America, which is extremely left wing and hosted such pundits as Rachel Maddow and Al Franken, went bankrupt due to lack of listener support. The market is simply not there.
This is a gateway bill which would turn radio into a state run medium. If this obtains the support necessary to pass, with a filibuster proof house and senate, the conclusion that other outlets such as television, newspapers, and the internet would follow is an easy conclusion to reach. China proves that a nation can police all outlets effectively.
Consider that all of these are passed . . . now, imagine if liberals can create a bill with the correct wording which would allow only liberal slanted media to exist, excluding entirely the prerequisite that it have opposing viewpoints? Code words such as “tolerance” and “hate speech” would undoubtedly be used.
Having established these points, we are so far looking at complete far left, liberal dominance of our legislative bodies, an organization in ACORN with the power to ensure this remains, and media outlets which are entirely state run.
This brings us to banks and financial institutions. Legislators are currently in a heated battle about whether to “bail out” these institutions, which would create a situation where the highest level of monetary distribution and control is indebted to our government, and this alone makes it accountable to our government. Add to this the regulation and oversight which Democratic leaders are heavily pushing, and this effectively turns our lending institutions into state owned entities, making them accountable for who they lend money to and for what reasons. To what extent will government monitor to who and for what reason these lending institutions give money? It may be up to our filibuster proof legislatures to determine this. They could write legislation which limits lending based on the position of individual companies concerning the social and fiscal issues of our time. Afterall, we don’t want money to be given to companies who promote “intolerance” and “hate speech”, do we?
Controlling finances at it’s basest level gives our government license to control all levels of business. Small businesses are unlikely to become businesses without loans, which could be coming from very heavily regulated institutions.
At this point in the discussion we now have far left, liberal control of all aspects of government, an organization who is powerful enough to ensure this remains so, state run media, and state run businesses.
This brings us to some even scarier possibilities, ones which do sound far fetched, and also ones which make some sense considering what and who we have before us at present. It is understood by many that Barack Obama has, in every position he’s held, immediately attempted to gain a higher position. It would seem this culminates in President of the United States. How could he go higher then that?
Barack Obama has been campaigning as a citizen of the world. Global polls show his approval rating is through the roof; he is universally loved abroad, fawned upon, and heavily regarded by citizens of every country polled. If Barack Obama is to continue his quest for power, his next step would be to become the leader of more then just our United States, but of a league of countries which includes Communistic and dictator led radical theocracies.
I realize the huge leap it takes to imagine this, and I can’t connect all of the dots necessary for this to happen. However, I ask myself, considering our global climate would other countries object to this? Would they object to World Leader Obama, while maintaining their current leaders as individual state leaders? All indicators are that they would welcome this.
With the assistance of ACORN and state run media Barack Obama would have at least eight years to accomplish this. With total control of all branches of government, he may have more. We only know that the far left is very radical, and very suspect in their principles. We don’t know exactly how radical, or how suspect.
I realize at this point many have tuned out. It sounds like one of the many conspiracy theories. Unlike those loonies, I am not offering this as something that will definitely happen, or something even likely. I am offering it as very possible, and something which could certainly happen if the dominoes fall the right way. To legitimize this possibility, one only needs to remind theirselves of the kind of people occupying the left; one only needs to remind theirselves of the Marxist/Communistic ideologies which they are beholden too. This ideology does not prevent them from pursuing such a course of action, rather it encourages them.
I present the last possibility as mere icing on the cake. This next link in the chain of total and complete control by a domineering government is the RFID tag (commonly known as a biochip), a computer chip which is implanted underneath the skin and can store a great deal of information about an individual, including social security numbers, medical history, and even allow one to pay for goods and services as a credit/debit card.
The progress of the biochip is advanced enough to be implanted on a large scale, and has already been implanted in a great amount of people (for many relevant and useful resources, see Google search results for biochip or “RFID tag”). It’s initial usage was as a locator for lost pets, and succeeded masterfully. The creator of this device, Applied Digital Solutions, has a product capable of GPS location, which enables the bearer to be located anywhere on the planet. This is already being used for foreign executives and other individuals who are frequent kidnapping targets in Latin America (source: http://www.wired.com/techbiz/media/news/2002/01/50004).
ADS is petitioning the government for wide use of this chip, beginning with our military. It can be seen as a great benefit for mandatory usage in the general public, as it would allow medical professionals to quickly and accurately determine a patient’s medical history, prevent identity theft, track illegal aliens, and also track criminals. Under a government which I’ve already described, it will also allow for constant monitoring of every individual and their activities twenty four hours a day. As a one world government, this would prove a large help in promoting and protecting the sovereignty of its leaders and ideals.
Through the course of this article I’ve outlined a clear path towards the destruction of our country as we know and the freedoms we enjoy. For the sake of brevity, I’ve left out Barack Obama’s opposition to second amendment rights, and his advocation of the addition of one million additional police officers to our streets, ideals which would serve to further enforce this frightening dictatorship over which he threatens to preside.
I have not written this as a call to action, nor as a fear tactic to inspire people to take action. I believe if all this is meant to be, we can not stop it (although it is certainly our duty to try regardless). I’ve written this to open eyes to this possibility, and to prepare those reading for what may be. I hope those reading this have done so with an open heart and open mind. Regardless of whether the illustrious reader agrees in whole or part with the contents of this discourse, I hope they will be looking out for these sign posts in the road, as we are facing what is potentially the most frightening series of events any group of people has ever faced in this world’s history. When Germany rose up as a superpower with evil intent, there was America to refute and push back. If America falls, there is no other country with the power to do what we did. This world may well be lost for generations.
I hope all of us will take heed.

In a widely seen skit on Saturday Night Live, it’s suggested that Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin disagree on everything, by the actress playing Hillary Clinton. Saturday Night Live is wrong. They both agree on one crucial thing: they both want John McCain to be the next leader of this great country.
This is seen and recognized by her supporters, who are angry at the treatment she’s received by her own party and want to send a message. They are also finding out that they have more in common with the GOP then they realize. Does this mean they’re newly converted Republicans? Hardly. But, for at least one election cycle, they will be voting Republican.
As an admitted extreme right wing Conservative I am impressed by these people. Because for quite some time now, it has been very widely accepted that the Democratic party has as a whole been very anti-country and pro party. The distinction had not been made between certain types of voters within the party, whether Hillary voters or Obama voters. But I’ve had the good fortune to be exposed to their mindset and beliefs. These people are hardly anti-country. We are at odds on social issues, but we are not at odds about our country. We love our country, and we want what’s best for our country.
These PUMA (Party Unity My Ass) people are inspiring. I have always considered myself Republican, but that’s not where my vote resides. It has been my one abiding desire to see just one election where the choice is hard for me between the Democrat and the Republican. Of course, I’ve only been eligible to vote since 2000. But George Soros and the far left wing liberal elite have hijacked their party, and I have been saying this for so long sometimes I forget I have other things to say. The radical left has hijacked a party of ideals and turned it into a power grab, a by-any-means-necessary attempt to control and decimate their enemy. They openly rejoice when tragedy strikes that has the side effect of benefiting their party. Michael Moore couldn’t control his happiness about a devastating hurricane affecting the Republican National Convention. Barack Obama tripped over himself running to capitolize on the hurricane and compare it to the “quiet storms” in everyone’s lives. Then, he did the same thing with the economic crisis, not bothering to point out that two of his economic advisers were also principle figures in Freddie and Fanny.
Hillary voters want their country back, and they want to unite with all of us to do it. The social issues, they’re willing to set them aside to protect their country from Obama and his ilk decimating our nation. Of course, they’ll still pursue them, it is their obligation as they see it. But I believe this shows a certain amount of inner strength. After all, aren’t social issues supposed to dominate our elections and our vote? Aren’t we all supposed to be so divided on these issues that we ignore everything else and vote party lines? Not with these folks. For these folks, it’s Country First.
What’s ironic is that I feel the same way. I’ll be bluntly honest: if Obama through some weird set of events became the Republican candidate, and Hillary was the Democratic candidate, I’d wear myself out just as much as I am now in my attempt to get Hillary elected and defeat Obama. She is so many light years ahead of Obama no amount of science can measure it.
For this election, I hope we’ll set a new standard of interparty respect and unity. When far right wing conservatives and Clinton Democrats can unite, it is a very good thing. If we could do the same thing for all issues both parties agree on, this world would be so much better. We can each hold our beliefs and values while respecting the others’ right to hold theirs, and at the same time unify for a very common good. Then, when we discuss divisive issues, we can do so with greater understanding and an eye towards how the other feels. That should be the ultimate goal, because we will always disagree, but we shouldn’t always feel anger or even hatred for the other person. That’s not constructive, it doesn’t help anybody.
So, at least for this election cycle, both sides are united on one idea and for one cause. In 2012 I’m sure it will be different, but if we unite now and in great numbers, a Clinton v. McCain (or Palin) contest may be the most civil in US history. As in all elections there will be flaming, there will be people who take it a step too far, but those of us who stood together in ‘08 can look at those people and just smile, knowing that many of us stood together, and put Country First.
http://www.hillaryclintonforum.net/
The above link is for the Hillary Clinton forums, but you may be surprised at what you find. It is 93% against Barack Obama, and 63% for John McCain (as internal polls show). Barack, if this is representative of the Hillary community, you have problems. Big problems.
What I love about this forum is it practically mirrors a Republican forum in content and attitude. Unbelievably, I now respect and sort of admire the Hillary voter, something I wouldn’t have said in any amount before the general election campaigning began. And the reason, apparently, is because I didn’t know anything about the Hillary voter.
Go through this forum. The Hillary voter is independant. The Hillary Voter loves his/her country, and wants America to succeed beyond the politics we’ve limited to party lines. The Hillary voter has a brain and a heart to match, and the Hillary voter has thrown that brain and heart behind McCain/Palin with extreme force.
They are mostly members of a grass roots organization called PUMA (Party Unity My Ass), one which has united with the Republicans in seeking the well being of a country which is under a grave and serious attack from Obama and his puppet master George Soros.
Ladies and gents, we have a unity this country hasn’t seen in a very long time, and may not see for a long time after this. It may be a different story when/if Hillary runs in 2012, but for now unity has reared it’s head, and it’s beautiful.
Your break from politics. If you don’t watch these hilarious videos you’re unamerican, a terrorist, and French. Speaking of the French, so is Evil Kangaroo.
Edit: for some reason, Youtube videos are acting very stupid with my blog. Whenever I try to embed them the blog’s display gets all jumbled, so I’ll just link to them directly. Just more evidence of Liberal bias. (I’m just kidding libs, don’t break anything.)
1. Evil Kangaroo
2. Richard and Sal (Stern) Making Out On CNN
I just realized this….Digg is world wide, the world is infatuated with Obama. All of the liberal bias is actually coming from the entire world, not just America. That’s why these piddly little Huffpo and Kos articles are getting Dugg way up by unbelievable numbers and everything else is getting buried.
This short ‘duh’ moment brought to you by me.
Edit - Here is an additional thought by my friend Bob (topsax) over at Digg (I hope he doesn’t mind me posting his insightful comment):
I think that is part of it.. but also you have to remember, the liberals have a lot more time on their hands to play with websites like Digg.. and the folks like Huffington and Soros are pumping millions into the blogs and social outlets to make us think the conservatives are a big minority in this country. It is all about money and power and gaining access to the White House.. but remember this, the huge SILENT MAJORITY is out there. they never see (or have time to see) websites like Digg. They are too busy making a living and taking care of business.
Mark my words: the OBAMA ticket has already lost. Palin has created a love affair with the silent majority that is untouchable.. But DO NOT let your guard down. Until the election is over we have to continue to fight back against these LOONEY TOONS that are nothing more than socialists who hate America. Your VOTE is very important this time. Everyone needs to get out and vote.. the liberal leaders are getting old and tired. If we beat them this time alot of their bubble will burst.
Thanks for making this post.. it is a good one!
Cheers,
Bob
Edit 2:
Here’s a really interesting exchange from Digg user Jayzdigga. It’s now illegal to say the word “kool aid”. You should probably say flavor-aid from now on.
I was banned for a few days for being either racist or abusive. Here is the email exchange for digg support. I say, either they are complete idiots or completely biased. The comment I was banned for was ‘Drink more Kool-Aid’

EMAIL2:My response 1
Dear Digg Support:
That is the most absurd reason that I could imagine. The reference to Kool-Aid is in no way racial. Anyone who takes that reference as racial is a complete idiot. The reference refers to the perception that many people, especially many in the media, have been following Barack Obama is such a blind way that they have raised him to the level of messiah. The Kool-Aid reference refers to drinking a sweet drink that contains a substance that induces some sort of high, like that of an opiate, clouding ones judgement to the fact. Read the comment in question in context and you may understand that it could be a reasonable response to other comments for which one might disagree with given ones views.
If you agree with me that this could in no way be a racial or abusive comment, I believe the correct action would be to re-instate my account. If you disagree with me, I would appreciate a further explanation of how ‘Drink more Kool-Aid.’ can possibly be used in a racial or abusive context so that I may avoid offending anyone in the future.

EMAIL3: my response 2
Hi again Digg support,
I have read and reviewed your Terms of Service and re-affirm my agreement to them, so go ahead and unban my account.
I am also wondering if the Huffington Post has been banned, or would you ban Ed Rendel?
Here is a link to an article posted. Should it not have been banned?
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Rendell_Says_Col …
Also, to further illustrate how completely ridicules this your interpretation of your own policy is, regarding this incident here is a link to the urban dictionary definition of ‘Drink the Kool-Aid”
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=drink+the+kool-aid
Emperor Obama deklares kool-aid off limits! If you enjoy kool-aid don’t tell anybody you drink it or get ready for the gulag.
New Information
I previously wrote about the Digg bias being a worldwide bias, not one isolated to the U.S. Perhaps I was wrong in this theory, maybe it’s Digg itself. The following are screenshots from Kevin Rose’s (the principle character behind Digg) Digg page. It shines a little light on this guy.

The first shows his chosen candidate. Not candidates. He’s not hiding his partisan support. Candidate. He’s a great Obama fan. As you’ll see in the second screenshot.
The second screenshot is what baffles me. He actually DUGG, approved, the hacking of Sarah Palin’s email account. It is unbelievable to me that someone in his position, who deals with hackers and digital security threats on a daily basis, actually approves of this. Would he ‘Digg’ it if his own website had been hacked? The Hypocritical Liberal Hypothesis says no. In addition, the hacking was unethical on a purely personal level, a level we can all identify with. He approves of the invasion of personal privacy.
Here’s the link to his public Digg page, you can confirm this yourself: http://digg.com/users/kevinrose
As a Digg user who’s prominently linked to this post, I wouldn’t be surprised if I were banned for pointing this out. If so, I have no qualms about coming back on Digg and pointing this additional hypocrisy out (they can ban an IP, but proxy rules all. If that fails, I can just reset my IP).
We shall see how this unfolds.
Update #8 Billion
Or, IS it Kevin Rose behind the curtain? A new story highlights a different possibility, found here:
http://www.infofreaking.com/society/heads-are-rolling-on-diggcom/
According to this post (and the many respondants), Digg is now banning users by the bunch for using scripts to autodigg posts, which is clearly against their TOS. Could this be why the front page is drowning in Obama rhetoric? I say we can’t discount this possibility, and it may very well be the principle reason. Again, we shall see how this plays out.
